Colours Learning Education Trust (CLET)

Year of Establishment: 2015

CLET focuses on providing a safe, holistic, and individualised learning environment for autistic individuals. The Organisation emphasises tailored education, family involvement, and skill development across academics, arts, sports, and life skills, using research-based techniques like Dynamic Behaviour Therapy to help students reach their full potential.

Jyot Foundation

Year of Establishment: 2017

Founded by Ms. Jyotiben Shah, who herself lives with 85% disability due to cerebral palsy, Jyot Foundation works for the empowerment and social inclusion of people with disabilities (Divyangjan). The organisation supports them in daily life, mobility, employment, and building stronger futures, inspired by Jyotiben’s resilience and lifelong commitment to the cause.

Aks Foundation

Year of Establishment: 2008

Aks Foundation is a Pune-based NGO addressing domestic violence, gender abuse, and sexual assault across India. Founded by Barkha Bajaj, it provides 24-hour telephonic crisis support, legal assistance, community education, and gender sensitisation programs. The Organisation handles over 3,000 crisis calls annually and works to empower survivors while advocating for a society free of violence and abuse.

People For Animals, Sirohi

Year of Establishment: 1998

PFA Sirohi is an animal rescue, care, and veterinary Organisation based in Rajasthan. It operates shelters for camels, cattle, dogs, birds, and other animals, providing medical treatment, emergency rescue, spay/neuter services, and rehabilitation. The NGO runs helplines, ambulances, awareness campaigns, vaccination camps, and wildlife support initiatives. Over the years, it has rescued more than 550 camels and thousands of other animals, creating a safer and more compassionate environment for animals in the region.

Chirag Rural Development Foundation

Year of Establishment: 2010

Chirag Rural Development Foundation focuses on empowering rural India through solar energy. Its flagship initiative, Project Chirag, provides solar lighting to villages while also addressing education, livelihood, health, and environmental needs. The NGO has impacted over 600 villages across 9 states, illuminating more than 24,000 homes and promoting sustainable development through youth engagement and community participation.

Aarambh

Year of Establishment: 1996

Aarambh is a community service Organisation supporting marginalised families in urban slums and rural areas, focusing on education, health, and vocational skills for underprivileged children and women. Founded by Shobha Murthy, the NGO operates 10 community centres in Navi Mumbai, reaching 2,000+ children. Aarambh works to empower families and communities through school enrollment drives, women’s skill development, child rights awareness, and youth leadership programs, aiming to promote social and economic change.

Point of View (POV)

Year of Establishment: 1996

POV works at the intersection of gender, sexuality, disability, and technology, aiming to build a world where all genders and sexualities have rights and freedoms. Founded by Bishakha Datta, the NGO amplifies women’s voices, removes barriers to expression, and empowers marginalised communities through media, education, technology, and art. Key initiatives include Tech-Sakhi, Skin Stories, Internet in my Hands, and Pyaar Plus, along with digital and telephonic helplines. Between 2015 and 2020, POV directly empowered over 1,800 people and reached approximately 22 lakh online through campaigns and publications.

Vipla Foundation

Year of Establishment: 1989

Vipla Foundation, formerly “Save the Children India,” works with vulnerable women and children in Maharashtra and Delhi to help them lead healthy, safe, and independent lives. Founded by the late Dr. Vipula Kadri, the NGO focuses on preventing exploitation and discrimination, empowering beneficiaries to live with dignity and self-respect. Key initiatives include over 47 Balwadis (children’s schools) with mentorship for 200+ Balwadi teachers, Special Care Centres for children with special needs, and Early Intervention Centres to integrate children with disabilities into mainstream education. The NGO has impacted over 2 lakh children and adolescents across India.

Human Welfare Charitable Trust (HWCT)

Year of Establishment: 2005

HWCT focuses on education, skill development, and empowerment of children, youth, and women in Mumbai and rural Maharashtra. Founded by Kalpesh Kabra, the NGO runs initiatives like Project Kartavya, Project Poshan, and Project Magic Box to improve living conditions and integrate rural schools with modern education systems. HWCT’s programs include digital learning, skill alignment, life skills and career development, mentoring, and internship support. The NGO has impacted over 18,000 children, supported 2,500+ persons with disabilities, provided COVID relief to 12,500+ families, and rescued 15,000+ animals through its Animal Welfare Project.

Acid Survivors Saahas Foundation (ASSF)

Year of Establishment: 2016

ASSF works to support acid attack survivors by providing shelter, medical aid, livelihood opportunities, and rehabilitation. Founded by Daulat Bi Khan, herself a survivor, the NGO offers surgeries, education, legal, moral, and financial support, and facilitates social reintegration including arranging marriages for survivors. ASSF also runs workshops where survivors can earn a livelihood through handmade products. To date, the foundation has helped over 42 survivors, including 19 with major surgeries, enabling them to rebuild their lives with dignity and independence.

Pratham InfoTech Foundation (PIF)

Year of Establishment: 1994

PIF works towards capacity building, skill development, social integration, and inclusive growth. Co-founded by Prem Yadav, the foundation bridges the digital divide in India, facilitates IT adoption in education, and equips disadvantaged youth with essential skills for the global economy. Affiliated with Pratham, PIF has directly impacted over 1 million children, reaching 2,500+ schools and establishing 1,100+ DigiTech centres across 17 states. Programs include after-school computer and job skill training centres, curriculum development, and localised training materials for digital literacy and e-education.

PRIDE India

Year of Establishment: 1982

PRIDE India empowers marginalised communities to lead lives with dignity and self-respect through a holistic approach, focusing on early childhood care, education, health and sanitation, livelihood, disaster relief, and women’s empowerment. Their flagship initiatives include SPARSH, a public-private partnership delivering quality health services, and the “ideal villages” program promoting integrated development. PRIDE India has impacted 19.55 lakh beneficiaries across 1,040+ villages in 8 districts of Maharashtra.

Marathwada Navnirman Lokayat (MANAVLOK)

Year of Establishment: 1982

MANAVLOK is a voluntary Organisation dedicated to the socio-economic upliftment of rural communities in Maharashtra. Founded by Dr. Dwarkadas Lohiya (“Babuji”), it emphasises local leadership and community mobilisation over external assistance. Key activities include watershed development, women empowerment programs (Manaswini Mahila Prakalp), drought relief, domestic violence and gender sensitisation initiatives, agriculture support, health awareness, and education, including 37 kindergartens benefiting over 1,500 children. MANAVLOK also monitors government programs and conducts advocacy to strengthen rural development.

Dhanak of Humanity

Year of Establishment: 2004

Dhanak of Humanity works to uphold individual rights in matters of marriage and relationships, combating honour-based crimes, forced marriages, and religious conversions for marriage in India. Founded by interfaith couples, the Organisation supports inter/intra-caste couples, LGBTQ couples, and individuals asserting autonomy in their personal choices. Over the years, Dhanak has impacted over 5,000 individuals through guidance, advocacy, and legal support.
The NGO’s flagship program, SAHAS (Strengthening Alliances for Humanity and Secularism), is an annual confluence that celebrates democratic and human values, promoting freedom, choice, and secularism.

3M Dot Bands Theatre Family

Year of Establishment: 2001

3M Dot Bands Theatre Family Society promotes art, culture, and theatre through diverse mediums. They are the founders of the Jaipur Theatre Festival, now known as Jairangam, a vibrant seven-day cultural festival celebrating music, dance, theatre, literature, visual arts, heritage walks, workshops, and street performances.
Since its inception, Jairangam has hosted 800+ artists, staged 150+ sold-out performances, conducted 23 panel discussions and 40 workshops, and drawn an audience of over 1.3 million people. The festival serves as a platform for regional, national, and international artists to exchange expertise, experiment with new forms, and elevate theatre to global standards.

Anubhuti

Year of Establishment: 2016

Anubhuti was founded by Deepa Pawar, building on nearly two decades of her grassroots work with young girls and women in Mumbai. The NGO emphasizes youth-led social change, guided by values of feminism, anti-casteism, and principles of the Indian Constitution.
Anubhuti empowers youth and vulnerable communities through mentorship, advocacy campaigns, and leadership training, ensuring their voices are heard and transformed into social action. Key initiatives include Mann Mela, Sharir Sanvad Abhiyan, and Hum Savidhanvaadi, impacting large numbers of young people across Maharashtra and nearby regions. The Organisation focuses on building capacities, forging networks, and enabling youth to lead change irrespective of gender, caste, class, ethnicity, language, or other identities.

ALERT INDIA

Year of Establishment: 1978

ALERT-INDIA is dedicated to promoting and advocating the right to health for people affected by leprosy, with the overarching goal of making India leprosy-free. Led by Ms. Veera M Rao, the Organisation focuses on improving the health and social status of vulnerable populations, including tribal communities, women, children, and persons with disabilities, through people-centred disease control programs and community initiatives.
The NGO has reached over 18 million people and positively impacted more than 70,000 lives, establishing 250+ Leprosy Referral Centres. ALERT India also provides support for Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS, working collaboratively with stakeholders to minimise the socio-economic consequences of these diseases.

Dharma Bharathi Mission (DBM)

Year of Establishment: 2008

DBM is a humanitarian Organisation working to create lasting change in the lives of children, families, and underprivileged communities. Founded by K.P. Singh under Navsrushti International Trust, DBM focuses on education, empowerment, and employment. The Organisation runs centres in urban slums providing education to children, vocational training for youth and women, and health programs aimed at reducing malnutrition. DBM has supported over 2,000 children, provided more than 5 million midday meals, and empowered over 15,000 underserved families.

The Humsafar Trust

Year of Establishment: 1994

The Humsafar Trust is India’s first community-based Organisation for LGBTQIA+ individuals, working on health, advocacy, capacity building, and research for over 25 years. The NGO provides healthcare services, legal support, mental health and nutrition counselling, and runs support groups like YAARIYAN, UMANG, and SANJEEVANI. They have reached over 1,10,000 people and distributed more than 7 lakh condoms to spread awareness.

Salaam Baalak Trust

Year of Establishment: 1988

Salaam Baalak Trust provides support services for street and working children in the National Capital Region, focusing on education, outreach, community development, performing arts, restoration and rehabilitation, preventive health and nutrition, and mental health. The NGO has supported over 1,00,000 children, provided more than 30,000 shelters, and implemented over 64,000 literacy programs.

Masoom

Year of Establishment: 2008

Masoom provides education through night schools to underserved children and youth, focusing on improving resources, infrastructure, and teaching quality. Their key programs include NSTP (School Transformation), Career Cell, Tech On Wheels, and Evening Learning Centres. The NGO has reached over 20,000 beneficiaries, operates more than 85 night schools, and trains over 400 teachers annually.

Sports Coaching Foundation

Year of Establishment: 1991

Sports Coaching Foundation works to empower marginalised children and youth, especially girls, through sports. The NGO focuses on building sports infrastructure, organising tournaments and workshops, and promoting sports as a tool for peace, confidence, and personal development.

ARUNODAYA TRUST

Year of Establishment: 2008

Arunodaya Trust works to empower orphans, unemployed youth, and HIV/AIDS patients by improving access to education, healthcare, shelter, and livelihood opportunities. The NGO also focuses on poverty alleviation, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) education, and life skills development for vulnerable communities in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and adjoining regions.

Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India)

Year of Establishment: 1992

RSKS India works towards women empowerment, sustainable livelihood, female education, gender equality, child rights, and environmental and water issues for marginalized communities. The NGO focuses on skill development, alleviating poverty, and promoting self-reliance and education among deprived populations.

Catalysts for Social Action

Year of Establishment: 2002

Catalysts for Social Action works to ensure the well-being and development of children under institutional care. The NGO focuses on education, health, nutrition, child development, livelihood, and advocacy to support vulnerable children and help them become contributing members of society.
They have partnered with over 82 child care institutions, have supported more than 3300 children, have helped more than 50 young adults get placed in jobs and have appointed 108 tuition teachers. The NGO has successfully reached across 4 states of the country and has impacted the lives of more than 20,000 children.
